Well I'm glad that the team is sold but I worry that we're going to run into what the Dodgers did, i.e. an owner who knows nothing about baseball who makes every decision based on "business sense". Well, the NASCAR points system change is official. Just a stupid idea. It's completely artificial. Woo! A denaming! :) Edison International Field will be renamed Angel Stadium of Anaheim. What I dislike about corporate naming of stadiums is that it gives stadiums ungainly names. One of my favorite players, Matt Stairs, signed with KC today. Very good reserve OF. Not wonderful defensively, but he has good power and he's always had a good OBP. For his career, his OBP is about 100 pts higher than his BA, which is excellent. He always finds a job somewhere...and he's the least baseball looking baseball player ever.
